Academic Advising and Career Guidance

Welcome to WCC! As a new student, your academic success starts with meeting your WCC Success Team. Your WCC Success Team is made up of a college Recruiter, Academic Advisor, and Success Coach. These staff members are your designated ‘go-to’ team that can assist you with any questions and help keep you on the right path, for the entirety of your academic career.

If this is your first time attending any college your admissions checklist includes completing New Student Advising and Orientation (Connect Session) before you can register for classes.

New Student Orientation & Advising Session

In this virtual session, you will learn more about your degree requirements, understanding your placement levels, and your next steps in selecting and registering for classes. You will also learn about the support available to you through your WCC Success Team, and have your questions answered from an Academic Advisor, Success Coach, and Student Ambassador. You will also be able to meet with an advisor individually in a Zoom breakout room.
