As a WCC employee, you are eligible for tuition grants for WCC credit- and non-credit classes. The grant covers tuition; you are responsible for any applicable fees.
Full-time employees
This unlimited tuition grant may be used by you, your spouse and your children. Your classes shall not conflict with the your assigned work schedule. This benefit is available upon hire and applied at time of class enrollment.
Part-time employees
Your tuition is granted at the in-district rate. You must take your course to full term, otherwise you must reimburse the College for tuition and any other sums granted on your behalf. Tuition grants are available for your use only. You must seek authorization through the Office of Human Resource Management for each semester you enroll.

Part-time faculty
- You are eligible after you’ve provided service over a period of 4 semesters (60 weeks).
- You must be actively employed during the semester/session in which the grant is requested.
- Your grant limited to 3 credit hours in any one semester/session.
Part-time independent staff
- You must provide 6 continuous months of service to be eligible.
- You must be actively employed during the semester/ session in which the grant is requested.
- Your grant is limited to 3 credit hours in any one semester/session
Part-time support staff
- You must provide 6 months of continuous service to be eligible.
- You must be actively employed during the semester/ session in which the grant is requested.
- Your grant limited to 3 credit hours in any one semester/session
OPT/A and non-bargained OPT/A employees
Money is available on a first-come first-serve basis and may be reserved for the employee.
- You are eligible for up to 3 credits per semester w/ a maximum of 9 credits per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).
- You can be reimbursed a maximum of the EMU undergraduate rate plus a maximum of $100 for course fees per semester (does not include books or other related expenses)
- Undergraduate courses must have a “C” grade or better, graduate courses must have a “B” grade or better
- All supporting documents must be submitted within 6 weeks of course completion (i.e. request form, grade report & original receipt of payment)
- You must submit your original receipt of tuition payment.
Independent group
Same as above, except:
- You can be reimbursed a maximum of the EMU undergraduate rate for undergrad courses or graduate rate for graduate courses
