Study Abroad for Faculty

Start your students on a lifetime of understanding the world we live in by experiencing new places and cultures. This information will help you design, create, and implement domestic or international travel classes.

You are required to follow these procedures for overnight domestic or international travel class trips sponsored by the College:

Step 1            Select applications

Step 2           Complete & submit applications

Step 3           Determine budget and fees for trip

Step 4         Submit class schedule information to Division Dean

Step 5           Get info into Banner to feed to Manager of Student Accounting

Step 6        Meet with Marketing & Promotion to promote trip

Step 7        Submit Conference Travel Form and trip details before travel, and submit receipts after travel

Step 8         Submit required release forms

These procedure and resources are explained in the Procedures for Establishing Domestic or International Travel Classes document below.

Approval is based on feasibility, cost, and maximum benefit to students.  Proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis and review of applications and notification requires about four weeks.

These logistics, while rigorous, are important. The procedures have been developed by instructors and administrative staff members who have collaborated on developing a successful travel class.
