Sean Duval, a member of the WCC Foundation Executive Committee, calls WCC a “gem in our community.” He cited the Foundation’s mission as an investment in the community and one that will return dividends to the people of Washtenaw County for many years to come.

Duval is the chief executive officer and chairman for Golden Limousine International, a global chauffeured transportation and event management company.

His company has grown from a two-car local limousine service to a global affiliate network with services in more than 500 cities.

College represents new beginnings

He feels strongly about the positive impact the college has on its students–each of them holding a unique and compelling story.

“The college represents a new beginning for so many Washtenaw County residents,” says Duval. “Whether it is a high school student breaking into an early college alliance, an unemployed worker launching a new career with specialized training, or an instructor learning innovative methods to teach the next generation of skilled trades workers, the college stands out among the great educational institutions of Washtenaw County.”

Duval emphasizes that it is a team effort to raise the funds necessary to support student access and success and he is proud of the more than $500,000 in scholarships that are awarded annually. “I am proud of my service on the executive committee because its mission is to give hope and support. The support provided by the Foundation can be seen in the faces of the graduates and heard in the stories of their success. That’s why I am truly honored to serve on the WCC Foundation Executive Committee.”
