Ilo: Radiography

This post is  dedicated to the radiography group who take x-rays while we work with bones and the occasional set of fleshy remains.

One of the projects the radiography group is working on is x-raying mummified dogs. Mr. Skufis explained that the x-rays help them determine how old the dogs were and what kind of life they led. The radiography group determines the age and what the dogs suffered from by studying their teeth and bone fractures. Mr. Skufis added that Dr. Guillen believed the dogs were used for herding and were members of the community because of the elaborate burials prepared for the dogs.

Below are the students at work as well as the objects they are taking x-rays of for Dr. Guillen.
