Associate in Applied Science
This program provides the first 45 credit hours necessary to enter the Police Academy as a pre-service student.
The final 18 credit hours toward the associate degree are earned upon successful completion of the on-campus Police Academy. Upon graduation from the academy you will have earned your associate degree and will be eligible to be hired as a Certified Police Officer in the State of Michigan. In the academic portion of your education, as well as while in the academy, you will learn the applicable laws and procedures as well as the skills necessary to function as an effective, ethical police officer.
