Policies

WCC has several policies that make clear that discrimination is not permitted on the WCC campus. We follow federal and state laws that offer protections to our community regarding diversity.

Student clubs

There are many clubs and organizations that support diversity at WCC. To learn about clubs in general, go to the Student Groups page. There you can sign up for Campus Connect to become part of a club and to get news about events and activities being sponsored by WCC Student Activities and Development.

Alter WCC

Alter WCC exists to serve the students of Washtenaw Community College. We strive to help students form a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to see ordinary people encounter an extraordinary God. Also we have free food and awesome way to meet new people.

Best Buddies

The mission of Best Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Intercultural Communication Club

The Intercultural Communication Club is an organization aiming to connect people of different background and cultures together to establish a mutual understanding through shared experiences. ICC collaborates with other Student Organizations to create a unique campus experience and help its members explore the diversity at Washtenaw Community College.

International Student Association

International Student Association is a social, cultural, and academic support group that fosters intercultural exchange and promotes cultural understanding. Meet students from all over the world and/or who have traveled the world. Come celebrate, learn a new culture, and/or educate yourself on global customs and languages.

Intervarsity Christian Fellowship

InterVarsity is a Christian fellowship Bible study group. We welcome students into caring, diverse communities where they can build friendships and explore Christian faith in the marketplace of ideas.

Muslim Student Association

Organization for Muslim students to learn and grow in their faith and their knowledge of Islam, along with providing room for them to be comfortable with who they are and to have space for prayer.

Out-Space

Out Space is a student-organized gender and sexuality alliance at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor that aims to foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students on campus. Out Space prides itself on expanding awareness to those at the margins of the LGBTQIA+ community and aims to shed light on all of the different intersectionalities that impact members therein. We accomplish our mission of inclusivity through the facilitation of weekly group discussions and campus wide activism.

Student Veterans Association

Since SVA’s founding in 2008, over one million veterans have returned home to pursue a postsecondary degree or certificate using VA education benefits. To meet this need, SVA’s presence at the local and national levels has grown to include over 1300 chapter affiliates, numerous private and nonprofit partners, and most importantly, an expanding list of impactful programs and services for veterans. The nation’s renewed focus on veteran welfare has ignited change on campuses and in Congress. SVA is committed to capitalizing on this momentum to ensure today’s and tomorrow’s veterans are supported in their transition to education and employment.

A club for German speakers ranging from beginners just learning the language to fluent speakers of it.
